Marital Advice Chat

Ever heard of a marital advice chat? Your marriage is in trouble. You’re bored, and you somehow end up on a singles chat – it happens to a lot of people whose marriages are turning lackluster.

Think about it though – is chatting with a pretty twenty something about who knows what really going to make your marriage any better? Chances are, it’s not. Why not try something productive, like joining a marital advice chat?

Yeah, I know – it sounds cheesy. But chatting with other people just like you who are going through the same marital issues that you and your spouse are can help shed a lot of light on the situation.

You’ll get a chance to hear what other people have to say about similar problems, what they’re doing about it and how it’s working. You can get some pretty solid info that way! Where do you start? Sure, you can go in an advice chat room and let it rip about how your wife is always nagging or how your husband never helps you with the chores. Well, that’s not going to get you anywhere because those are things everyone’s heard before.

How can you make the most of your marital advice chat sessions?

1. Avoid being negative. No one wants to chat with someone who can’t stop complaining about how the litter box never gets changed or how the credit card bills are too high. Zip it! Instead, present you and your spouse’s situation in a positive and constructive manner. Avoid criticism at all costs.

2. Interact with others. Don’t just ask for advice on your marital woes, read over other chatters’ comments as well and give them your input. It’s karma baby – you help someone else with their problems and someone’s going to help you with yours.

3. Visit the chat room often. People want to help people they know – let chatters get a feel for you by visiting the marital advice chat room more than once. Get involved and you’ll be more likely to attract chatters that want to get in on your situation and help turn it around.

4. Invite your spouse to chat. No, it’s not a death sentence. Think of it as virtual counseling! As long as you stick to the aforementioned guidelines (as in no criticism or name calling) while your spouse is chatting with you, a marital advice chat session with your significant other can actually help speed things up on the road to marriage recovery.

Above all, use your head. Choose a chat room that has more than a few users and don’t get involved in the “married and lonely” chat rooms, even if you are married and lonely.

Those types of chat rooms will do nothing but waste your time and depending on the content of the conversations that take place, visiting chat rooms like that might get you into even more hot water with your spouse.

Take advantage of the chat rooms that are out there and get some good advice you can use to bandage up your holy matrimony.
